When moving products from your inventory to a new location, you have to pick and drop each item individually. But is there a way to do it all at once?

Let’s discuss if there’s a method to move all Inventory to a new location.

Moving All Inventory To Another Location

Currently, Shopify does not support the moving of a large number of products from your inventory to a new location. So, you’ll have to use an app that lets you transfer this via CSV files as an example.

The easiest way to move all your inventory to a new location is to use the Excelify now known as “Matrixify” app. Using this app, you can export all products in your store into a spreadsheet file with their quantities.

From here, you can also edit the number of products you want to move.

The app allows you to bulk import the following items: products, customers, discounts, collections, payouts, orders, draft orders, and pages.

Change Inventory Quantity For A Location

Although it’s not the same as moving your inventory to a new location, it can be a workaround for what you need to do.

  • In the Products section, choose the product whose inventory quantities you want to edit.
  • Go to Variants and click on Edit Variants.
  • Select Open Bulk Editor.
  • Here, you can change the values by clicking on the cell.
  • Besides changing whether the inventory is managed by an app or Shopify, you can also change the locations for each product. To do this, change the value to Stocked or Not Stocked.

After changing the settings, click Save. Shopify also has a video tutorial for this method.

If you’re still facing any problems, you can get in touch with the experts at Shopify support, and they will help you manage your inventory.
