To retain a professional presence, most Shopify store owners claim personalized email addresses on their own domain. When you use Gmail and Yahoo for your company, customers might not take you as seriously.  Clients have an average of 5 personalized email accounts on their domains, according to a recent audit.

Shopify email hosting, on the other hand, is not accessible via Shopify’s core services. At the moment, third-party providers handle the majority of Shopify email hosting. Shopify allows you to register domains but not custom email addresses on those domains. We encountered a lot of questions about how to get emails hosted while using Shopify, so we created this tutorial to help them.

Once you buy a custom domain from Shopify, you can set up a forwarding email address! While Shopify does not provide email hosting, you can create an infinite amount of forwarding email addresses for free (e.g. info@myshopname.com). That ensures that if anyone sends an email to info@shopname.com, it will be immediately redirected to your primary email address. 

Since email hosting is not included when you purchase a domain from Shopify, you’ll have to use a third-party web hosting service if you’d like to send or respond to emails from your custom domain forwarding address.

·         Zoho Mail

Up to ten free email addresses for your custom domain are provided by Zoho Mail, with paying packages also available.

·         G Suite

For a nominal monthly charge, G Suite links to Gmail with emails for your custom domain name.

Many customers are confused by Shopify email hosting and forwarding. For most customers, forwarding is not a choice because it seems unprofessional.

If you’re on the same daunting path, I’d like to give some advice. Shopify merchants also have access to an email hosting facility called https://shopped.email. Custom emails are extremely easy to set up, safe, and cost-effective.

Shopped Email will also manage complicated email migrations to their account, which is beneficial for anyone who has been using email from another vendor for some time.
