How to Resolve Deleted Shopify Products Still Showing In Instagram Shop
When you integrate your Shopify store with Instagram, the products will still show in your Instagram store even after you have deleted them from Shopify. In this case, the customers will go to the 404 link, which is never good for sales or customer satisfaction.
How can you ensure deleted Shopify products are removed from the Instagram shop? Here’s what you need to know.
Can you remove deleted Shopify products from Instagram?
The Facebook and Instagram shops are different compared to your Shopify store, as your Shopify products will still show on Instagram even after you’ve deleted them from your store. To remove them from Instagram, you’ll have to remove the product tag. Here’s how to do it:
- Find the post that you want to remove the tag from.
- Tap the three horizontal (iOS) or vertical (Android) dots.
- Select Edit.
- Tap the sign.
- You can drag the tags around or delete them.
- Tap Done once you’ve deleted the unrequired tags.
If you want to remove a tag from the Instagram story, there’s no way to edit it. Instead, you’ll have to delete the story and repost it without the tag.
Keep in mind that when editing older posts, Instagram takes some time to update the changes. It’s best to wait a few days for these changes to be processed. However, if the changes still don’t take place, you can report a problem on Instagram.
Reporting to Instagram
Since the problem is out of Shopify’s scope, you won’t have any luck with Shopify support. Instead, you can report your issue to Instagram, and they’ll help you remove the outdated content from your page. Here’s how to report a problem to Instagram:
- Go to your profile and tap the three horizontal lines on the top-right corner.
- Then, select Settings and tap Help.
- Go to Report a Problem and follow the instructions to report your issue.
